8 Conference games in the SEC is the equivalent of 9 conference games in the Big 10. The SEC wiped the floor with the top 25 big 10 teams last year during bowl season. Don’t want to hear about the weaker conferences complaining about it.

It’s an added benefit to the smaller schools to recruit players. They get to play big-time schools, even though they can’t make those teams. Not every week needs to be the national champion championship. And you can’t call something a cupcake schedule when two teams are cupcakes and the rest of them are power five

ESPN didn’t want to provide subsidies for a eight game conference schedule. There is no motivation to play for nothing. LSU is playing 2 B1G games this season. USC tried to cancel the game. USC also cancelled games against Ole Miss. UF plays Miami and FSU. The SEC will probably go to a 9 game conference schedule when they negotiate the contract with ESPN in 2025. It is not the SEC. it is teams. Just another whiner.

I could've been a freshman qb at high school I had practiced one day then quit I didn't want to play before that I played basketball for 4 years in junior high when I was a little into the year of my freshman year my brother tackled me on a trampoline n I twisted wrong and dislocated my knee could've happened at football but I didn't play so moral of the story football isn't for everyone

Schedules are made years in advance - in the 5-10 years from when schedules are made teams can go from good to bad

were people talking about florida playing utah and fla st(as they do every year) in their non confrence? alabama played fla st week 1 as a #1 vs # 2 preseason matchup a handful of years back, georgia recently played oregon, tennesse had a home and home with oklahoma, missuri played k-state last year, s.carolina plays clemson every year, alabama played a home and home with texas and this list goes on, on top of playing a tough sec schedule, it gets so old hearing people talking about sec scheduling when 80% of teams in the country would want nothing to do with most of the sec teams schedules year in and year out

Bama and Georgia last played in the regular season in 2020. That is not "damn near a decade." Bama is going to Wisconsin this season after having scheduled a H&H with Texas the past two seasons. UGA scheduled Clemson this year when they were good, it's not their fault Dabo fell off the map. Bama GOES TO FSU next year for week 1 as well. Bama and UGA have scheduled marquee openers in the past like USC, FSU, Oregon, and Clemson & they won them all.

What Lincoln said is right, the SEC has earned major rankings on playing no true home and away games. It's like you have been called heavy weights but playing feather weights and getting ranked off the bullshit. Now yeah Alabama played USC but in Texas and we knew that USC under Clay Helton wasn't a true measurement of USC yet that's still considered a home game for Alabama. Yet it wasn't a true home and away, if was it would have been played in each other's home state. Yet this typical of the SEC and the scheduling that they schedule. The SEC doesn't want to play themselves but earn points for doing what they're supposed to do. Play your conference and play somebody of another power 5 school outside your conference. It's not what the SEC has been doing. It's commissioner doesn't make them play up to the competition but down for power rankings. Yet the funny part of it they were allowed to do it, by whoever controls the money or who's getting paid. I mean for real man, the SEC is a scripted conference and was changed into a way where they were the only ones making the playoffs and playing each other numerous times for the national championship. People this needs to change with our new playoffs. The SEC has gotten away with crap that other conferences couldn't do and get a raise for it. My main problem is who and where they play them and are they really considered road games that they schedule as non conference games. I'm saying like Clemson vs South Carolina or Georgia playing Clemson or Alabama playing Georgia tech. It has no travel or disadvantage for one another but a win, win and both have a good home crowd.
